Lockdown Learning and Activities: Week 4

Hello Bunnies,

Wow, it is Week 4 of the term already. I can't believe it. I hope that you have all had a lovely weekend and that you were able to enjoy the snow. It was a great sight to see as I looked out of our window at home on Sunday morning!
It was lovely to hear from some of you last week, letting us know how you were getting on and telling us some of the fantastic things you had been doing. In Bunny class we made some jam sandwiches and had a little teddy bear picnic. We also went on our own bear hunt around the school grounds which was great fun!

So, this week we are going to be reading the story called 'Little Red Riding Hood'. We will be looking at this story for the next 2 weeks. This is a story from our classic story collections and is one of those stories that has been around for a long time, but is a great read.

Here is a video of the story that you can watch. If you have a copy of the book at home as well that you can share together then this would also be great.

Also, why not give this yoga video a go one day this week. We have really enjoyed doing some of these cosmic kids yoga sessions in class. They are really good fun, especially on a rainy day!
Other things we will be doing this week include making a collection of items that we can put into our own picnic basket. We will think about foods that are healthy for us. Can you think of your favourite foods?
We will start to have a look at maps, and see if we can draw the route that Little Red Riding Hood went on through the woods. Who did she meet along the way? Can you draw a map?
Our letter of the week this week is Ee. Can you find a collection of things that begin with E for us to see. Please email a picture if you can.
I have included a link for a biscuit recipe. Cooking is a really great way of covering lots of different learning; weighing the ingredients, mixing the mixture, counting out the correct number of biscuits, seeing what happens when they cook in the oven; noticing change.
It is also great fun to! We will try and make our own biscuits in class, let us know if you try to make them as well.
