Bunny and Rabbit (Nursery & Reception) - New Close Primary School

Bunny and Rabbit (Nursery & Reception)

Children in Bunny Class do not need to wear school uniform, they should be in comfortable clothes which aren't for 'best' as we like to get messy and muddy! It is helpful to have a change of clothes in a bag which can be kept on their peg. They need their book bags, drink bottles and lunch (if they are staying for lunch). Please provide nappies and wipes if your child needs nappies.

Children in Rabbit Class need to have their red school book bag in school every day. This should have two school books in it (one reading together book & one decodable book), their home/school reading record and their phonics folder. They should also bring a drink (no fizzy drinks) in a separate bag, an optional piece of fruit and lunch if they are not having a school meal. Please make sure that children have weather appropriate clothing as we aim to go outside in all weathers. It is helpful if they can keep a pair of wellies in school.

Children in Rabbit Class do PE on a Friday, but we encourage you to leave their PE kits in school for the term - we will send it home sooner if it needs washing. Forest School will be on a Thursday, children need to come to school in clothes suitable for outdoor learning.

Children in Bunny class are expected to share a book with their grown up on most nights and children in Rabbit Class need to read/share a book five times a week with their grown ups. This reading should be recorded in the home/school reading record.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask any member of staff and we will do our very best to make sure they are answered quickly.
